  • What are your lead times?
If the door you have chosen is in stock then typically it will be same or next day appointments. If the door needs to be ordered it will be 4-6 weeks excluding extenuating circumstances.
  • Do you offer a warranty?
Yes we offer a 1 year warranty on all of our installs and 6 months on all service. With installs the product itself will have a manufacturers warranty.
  • How much is your service fee and what does it include?
The service fee is $100 + parts. This covers up to two doors/two motors. The service includes: Thorough inspection and lubrication of all moving components, repairing of any part necessary, checking for balance/adjusting torsion and extension springs, tightening belts/chains, checking for proper alignment and wiring of sensors, tightening/securing loose wires and screws, and adjusting anything deemed necessary to ensure smooth and quiet operation. You'll get a 6 month grace period in which you'd only pay for the part itself if something happened to break within six months of the service.
  • Should I buy a chain or a belt opener?
In the end this is a matter of personal choice. I always recommend belts because they are quiet while still remaining quite durable. Most garage door opener manufacturers offer a lengthy (15 years) or life time warranty on the belts as well.
  • How long are garage door openers supposed to last?
Most motors these days are intended to last at least 10-15 years. This time frame is taking into account regular maintenance on the garage door it's operating so that should be kept in mind.
  • How often should I service my garage door?
Due to our climate it is recommended that you service your door quarterly or in other words every 3 months.
  • How long will a brand new garage door last?
The average lifespan of a garage door will vary greatly depending on many factors including manufacturer, part quality, weather, usage, etc. However, the average would be 10-15 years, although when a door is taken care of properly its not unheard of to last up to 30 years or more.
  • Are your doors hurricane rated?
Yes! All of the doors we offer are rated for wind zone 5 meaning 130mph at minimum. This is because even if you aren't in an area that requires it, having a wind rated door serves to keep the door sturdy and less prone to rips from wear and tear.
  • Why do I need to service my garage door?
The humidity in our area along with salt marshes makes for a harsh environment for our garage doors. Keeping your door lubricated and inspecting it often for adjustments will help to contend with this problem. Preventative maintenance will help to prolong the life of your garage door and opener overall saving you money in the process.
